The frustration of systemic change

See: Being systemic is a wicked problem

"Among the perspectives articu lated are: belief that social learning systems and community-based approaches can influence change in a positive way; determination to learn and influence change;
and exasperation at what does not appear to be changing, in spite of what we appear to know."
(Blackmore, 2010, p. 217).

How can transformation "go critical"? (aka Blackmore, 2010, pp. 214-5).

Challenges:

1. Institutions and organsations, and "cultural feasibility" (cf. Blackmore, 2010, pp. 207-8; OU, 2010, pp. 17-; cf. "institutional constraints" aka Woodhill, 2002, in  Blackmore, 2010, p. 58).
2. The time lag and dynamics of praxis (Blackmore, 2010, p. 215), especially Schön (in Blackmore, 2010, ch. 1); the time for ideas to come into "currency", cf. "reflection-in-action" vs. "reflection-on-action" (OU, 2010, p. 114).
3. The immaturity of human nature [?] (cf. Blackmore, 2010, p. 100).
4. The challenge of "profound" self-transformation, link to lack of self-awareness (Bawden, 1999, in Blackmore, 2010, p. 91).
5. The limiting of our worldviews (Bawden, 2009, in Blackmore, 2010; OU, 2010, p. 173).
6. Collective cultural worldviews (Bawden, 2009, in Blackmore, 2010, p. 96).
